Title: Need help with servos
Post by: TVA on October 08, 2008, 01:43:14 AM
I have 2 cheap servos that i got from an old RC toy. Problem is that they only have two wires. That means that they are just simple DC motors geared down and unmodified to run 360. I want to use them to drive the wheels of the 50$ robot. What do i have to do to use them?

You'll have to drive them with a motor driver then - like the L293D chip.  Check out this site and the internet to learn about them.

you also need to supply a PWM control signal to vary the speed.

This question has been asked a billion times. As such, I added it to the FAQ:
