Title: servo noise interfering with camera
Post by: blackbeard on November 15, 2009, 10:11:16 PM
so i have 2 continuous rotation servos powered by the 5v on my arduino but i also connted a 5v wireless camera transmitter to that same 5v slot in parallel. the problem is when the servos move they drive the camera nuts and you can't see a thing.  when the motors have resistance the noise gets worse. any way to clean the servo noise?

Maybe not use the regulated 5v? Consider getting a 6v battery for your servos...

Hi,

[...] any way to clean the servo noise?
Yes, like with any other DC motor - subject's been up recently, use the search facility.

5v regulator seems to have done allot to reduce noise however there is still a problem when the servos are worked hard though at least now they can move while the camera is rolling. any tips on how to fix the rest? also the other threads which you speak are hard to find.

A "throw money" solution would be a servo controller.

what about a "throw worthless junk" solution
