Questions about PICDEM FS USB Demo Board
« on: October 02, 2008, 11:48:15 PM »
Our group will be using the PICDEm FS USB Demo Board with PIC18F4550 as the mcu...

I don't have any idea if we will be needing another interface board to make it work..

Do we have to use a breadboard?

What brand/types of sensors can work with it?

Do we need to add oscillators in the demo board?

Tnx..

Since it's a PIC, you can pretty much do anything you want with it. Let us know what you want to do specifically. Usually, a quick google search will answer your question too.

As for sensors, you can use any hobbyist sensor with it.

we will be designing an obstacle avoidance robotic car...

actually, the real problem is, we don't know what ports will be used for connectivity to sensors, servo and batteries..

i hope you can help us with this... thank you..

Just read the datasheet of the microcontroller you get, it will specify.

Digital ports for servos, analog ports for analog sensors, battery pin for battery, etc :P

If you get stuck even after reading the manuals, just send us your question.
