Nice!!  :D Congrats

I like the way you put it together. It's really easy to follow and understand step by step. Especially the circuit.

Good Luck on the contest  ;)

Man, it's so cool! Can you make it faster?

I should show you my 3 light sensors Lego Line following robot to see how fast is going and still wasn't fast enough to get me in the first 3 places!...

I'll work on speed, but the competition im entering is not about time , its about accuracy

You know how you have 1-7, 7 being Troubleshooting. Well, I think you should have an eighth section for Videos. I was looking for vids and it would be convenient if they were all in one place. Just a suggestion  :D

One of the reasons that I voted for you and Pratheek is that both of you finished in time (mostly  ;D) and it was all complete. You guys did not procrastinate and that's a thumbs up for you. I looked at the others, and they were mostly incomplete with a "Work in Progress" sign.

That looks awesome!!!  :o

Are you saying that you didn't know how to make this before you started researching?  :o

Hope I can do that one day  ;D
Title: Re: My 3 in 1 Robot Tutorial
Post by: airman00 on March 02, 2008, 07:24:51 PM
this was my first robot using a microcontroller , I had to do a ton of research

before this I used a laptop for processing ( on chives) and played around with R/C cars

People tell me I am  very stubborn, which is why I get things done   :D

If you research it and put in enough time, you can build anything !

finally uploaded a video of victim finding

oh, and I also "pimped out" my robot by adding an LCD and making a nice aluminum covering on the sides

you could also see Chives in the right corner

EDIT: sorry about the bach music, my first music put in was copyrighted and was kicked off youtube.  :-\

lol, that music sounds soooo inappropriate . . .

anyway, kind of worries me that your 50 second video of a robot got removed so fast . . . my older bot vids used copyright stuff (we weren't so concerned about that 2 years ago)

more recently I've turned to free independent/non-c.r.'ed music, old stuff (like classical), and obscure foreign music not under the RIAA . . .

yea i know it was inappropriate, first thing I could find

hey admin,

where do you get those uncopyrighted songs? Any websites?
