Title: help with the $$50$$ dollar robot

guys help please!!!OK here's my thing.I build my PC board checked everything a dozen times.Dismounted everything 3 times. Spent hours looking at the PC Board and diagram.Charged my battery(7.8).checked voltage and resistance.and when i connect it with my AVRISPmkII The light stays red and I get a message that says -Target has lost power, or ISP programmer was disconnected-.whats wrong. :'( :'( :'(

i believe that means that the target has not been powered up. You say you've checked the voltage, are you sure it's getting to the ISP connector?

Take a look at the User guide (http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/AVRISPmkII_UG.pdf)

I checked that out and theres no power coming out from the 5V regulator,absolutely nothing so tomorrow I will go to Radioshack and buy a few and another things i need but thank you I will tell you tomorrow what happend

Is your 5 volt regulator in backwards?

Is not backwards but I decided to built a new one cause the other one was a mess and this one it looks really professional. ;D ;D ;D ;D

It worked my voltage regulator was broken,and it worked
