Title: motor driver for 9.6v rc truck
Post by: yerbie on February 01, 2009, 06:44:15 PM
I found an old 9.6v rc dodge ram from New Bright.  I took it all apart and found it was using 2 motors, a small one for the steering and a larger motor for the drive.  I was unable to take it anymore apart to see the larger motor, so I'm not sure what the specs are for that motor.

Any ideas on how or what motor driver I can use to drive these 2 motors?

Looks like the smaller motor is using 24-22 gauge and the larger motor is using around 20-18 gauge wire.

give the motor around 10v and put a multimeter in series and itll show you the amps. youll have to hold the wheels to stall the motor and see what the peak current draw is
