Title: Mounting a Dome Camera Onto a Frame?

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a dome camera that is now attached to the Sparkfun pan/tilt bracket. Picture 1 is a picture of the dome camera.

I am trying to "integrate" it into the frame because it has to be protected from falling objects, but I am not sure how to do this.  The reason why this is difficult is because it has to be able to tilt, but still be amalgamated with the frame.  What I mean by that is so it is not excessively protruding out of the frame.

Picture 2 is a quick sketch of the side view of the frame.  The circled area is the general area I would like the camera setup to be in. 

Do you guys have any ideas of how I could do this?

Just bolt a U-shaped "hood" onto the chassis and make it the height required for the tilt - not exactly rocket science.

Thanks for the reply!  The reason why I thought this was difficult because it has the possibility of objects falling on it from above, but it must also be capable of withstanding objects coming at it horizontally (must be able to penetrate dry wall, windows, etc) I'll see what I can I find.

What Soeren said. You can buy ~ 1/16" thick polycarb and bend it by hand, even. And it's plenty strong.
