Title: DIP SOCKET

hellow there everyone.. love the site its helpfull.. im building the 50dollar robot,, i have a problem though,, i cant find a DIP socket n e where.. is there anything i can replace it with?? or where can i find it?? computer shopS? or where? does it has to be 28 pins? thanx eveyrone

Depending on what part of the world you are in there are lots of places that carry DIP sockets.  The place that carried the microcontroller and the voltage regulator should have them.

In US:
Jameco.com
digikey.com
mouser.com

In UK:
maplin.com
There are others in the UK I just don't live there so I would not know what they are.
