linear actuators help
« on: October 02, 2011, 11:33:39 PM »
so I'm building a full size johnny 5 robot with a friend of mine. He's cutting the parts for the both of us.

Anyways in the cradle base are 2 SKF linear actuators. these are surplus and hard to come buy especially in the size that I need. believe it's 150mm stroke, and when retracted is 268 mm.   I can get a linear actuator off ebay or other sites but most have built in limit switches that are non movable.  I need to be able to move the limit switches as these actuators control the tip toe mechinism for Johnny 5 to stand up on his track tips.

Does anyone know where I can find linear actuators that have movable limit switches

Thanks,

Drew

Hi,

SKF would be the obvious choice  ;)

Another major player is Linak.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
