Title: Another question about battery charging
Post by: z.s.tar.gz on December 14, 2009, 06:31:03 AM
I have two LiFePO4 batteries and I'll be charging them with this (http://www.all-battery.com/protectioncircuitmodulefor3cellslifepo4batterypack.aspx)

Can I simultaniously charge the batteries and have them under a small load, such as my microcontroller?
I'm trying to create a solar self charging system.

Hi,

Can I simultaniously charge the batteries and have them under a small load, such as my microcontroller?
Yes, within the specs of the battery.
When there's plenty of sun, youir load will take it from there to begin with and use the rest to charge your battery. When there's less from the sun than your load needs, it will draw the rest from the battery (which won't be charging meanwhile of course).

Thanks, I'm really glad I ordered it now instead of trying to build my own.
