Title: Checking part list to be sure
Post by: SUTO the G on March 25, 2013, 08:26:29 AM
I have made a list of my robot parts and now I want to order them, but since this is the first time I am doing such a thing I would really need your guys help! I want to know if all of my components are compatible with each other, and if there is anything else I need to order to make a functional robot? I have checked it out my self but I am not 100% sure.
Here are my robot`s components:
1.Arduino Uno v3 Dev Board: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardUno (http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardUno)
2.Turnigy 5 NiMH Turnigy 6 V/ 2300 mA Flat Battery Pack for Servos: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25030__Turnigy_LSD_6_0V_2300mAh_Ni_MH_Flat_Receiver_Pack.html (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25030__Turnigy_LSD_6_0V_2300mAh_Ni_MH_Flat_Receiver_Pack.html)

You'll need some way to charge that battery, too.

I thought of simply replacing it! And the Board, the Servos and the Battery Pack for powering the Servos are compatible? I mean will I not fry down something or something else(simply not work)?

Im pretty sure jwatte meant a charger for the 6v battery pack. Your not going to replace that every time it runs down are you?

List looks OK. Although, have You considered how You are going to attach wheel to the servo?

I will use a Servo Horn like this one: http://phoenixmodels.ro/shop/parghie-servo-universal-p-3462.html (http://phoenixmodels.ro/shop/parghie-servo-universal-p-3462.html)
