GP2Y0A700K0F IR noise in SPO256 speech synthesizer
« on: May 01, 2008, 12:48:49 PM »
Hi
I am using two GP2Y0A700K0F IR sensors with an SPO256 speech synthesizer IC but the problem is that when I connect the sensors to circuit i always hear high frequency voice on speaker, I am connecting a capacitor between my supply and ground but this is not solving the problem
plz help......

What type of capacitor? What value?

It definitely sounds like electrical noise from the IR sensor is being passed to the speech IC. Keep both devices as far apart as possible, and add some .1uF, 1uF, and 10uF ceramic caps on the + and - of the speech IC.

Let me know how that goes . . .

ps - I changed your subject "URGENT HELP NEEDED PLZ" to something more useful ;)

First f all thank you admin for your reply.....
Right now I am using 10uF electrolide capacitor but between main + and - of my main circuit supply.I will change it and see the result :)

Some times not only a capacitor, but a inverted diode is also a nice option(inverted diodes are variable capacitance capacitors). If you  know basic electronics and  control theory, I advise you to have look at them.

Hi Admin....
I wanted to tell you that the capacitors did not solve my problem, thus i used separate supply for GP2Y0A700K0F and SPO256 to remove the noise.
