why dont u just use diff? What OS are you running?

Why are you trying to compare the two files?

never mind the first question...I have the answer already from a friend of mine who was online.

my next question is related.

Can I use debugWire or a 6-pin ISP programmer cable to extract a hex file from an AVR MCU?

[edit]
oops never mind again... Actually I asked this question on another forum. The answer is you can use both to extract hex file from MCU.
