Title: Recharging Batteries

For the $50 MCU, I found 4 1.2v Ni-MH AA batteries at 2500mA, and I am gonna use an adapter rated at

input: 120v~60Hz 4W
output: 4.5V DC 300mA

Is this not enough amps/voltage?

is 4.8v not enough to supply the MCU?

Now for the voltage supply of MCUs. The answer is  "it depends".

1. There are PIC MCUs that runs as low as 1.5Vdc.
2. Zilog MCUs mostly handles 3.3Vdc as the power supply but still it can also operate at 5Vdc.
3. Same thing with other MCU brands.

Now, All you have to do is look for the specific datasheet for you to have the proper voltage operation of your micro. ;)
