Title: Idea: Smaller Axon?
Post by: Razor Concepts on October 19, 2008, 11:52:43 AM
The Axon with the mega640 is great, but at $130 it might be a little pricey for people. Maybe a Mini-Axon (Or you could call it Dendrite  :D) could be made with the Mega168 and generally the same way the Axon board is arranged. This would be great for people who think the mega640 is overkiill for their projects, and instead want to get a nice cheap board like the arduino.

then get an arduino  ;)

The axon fills the gap of microcontrollers - its by far my favorite one

This has alrready been suggested, (including by me). And The answer was that there are already enough MCU boards for that group of consumers, and the biggest reason for Admin to make the Arduino was to fill the gap there was for more advanced users for MCU boards...

When I was thinking of names to call it, Dendrite was one of them. If I come out with a new product in the future, I might still use that name ;D
