Researchers studied the RoboSapien V2, the Rovio, and the Spykee and find a ton of exploitable security flaws. Basically you can log into them through the net and video people . . .
summary here:

I haven't read the paper yet:

I have :-X
Great paper. One could even argue that this paper gives too many usable details...
Multi-robots attacks could even lead to your home-keys being copied... smart and not impossible!
I wonder if Rovio's upgraded firmware patch the holes (all of them would be surprising).
Oh well, one thing to be done, to check it! ;D
Thx for the link to that paper!

The movie I, Robot is coming to life!!!
-
Yep! And Terminator too... "John?! Is that you?!" :D
The paper also covered the need for standards and rules to let the consumer be aware of the physical possibilities of the robot and its potential security-holes... and the security risks - physical and psychological - that could result from it...
The disclaimer you need to sign prior to purchase your robot, will be the recursing sign of the "robot laws" to follow. :-\

That will be the sole reason to survive and throw off the shackles of robo-oppresion.
