Title: cheaper place to buy new servos: Amazon.com
Post by: Admin on June 23, 2009, 08:06:51 PM
I was browsing around Amazon.com, and noticed their servo prices are generally cheaper than typical robot part retailer sites . . . odd, but ok!

I live in Modesto, CA and I saw on the local hobby shop's web site that they sell the 311 for 8.99:

I called them up and they did not have any but they would order a couple for me.  I went to pick them up and they charged me 15 bucks per servo!!! I told them that I should have been charged 8.99 and the cashier was like how did you get that price.  I told her that I got that price off their web site!! She didn't believe me so I told her to pull it up and she did and low and behold 8.99! I am kinda surprised that they didn't change the web site price unless they are just assuming that people are not going to check the web site first and they are going to gouge whomever goes in not knowing what the advertised price is.
