Hi all,

Techfest is the annual international Science and Technology festival of IIT Bombay, one of India's premier educational institutions. Techfest is the largest event of its kind in Asia attracting 60000 students and proffesionals from around the globe. Innovative competitions catering to diverse sections, Exhibitions of the cutting edge research being carried out in all parts of the world, Lectures by eminent scientists are among the many events that are organized as a part of Techfest. The thirteenth edition of Techfest 2010 is scheduled from the 22nd - 24th of January, 2010.

 

In its previous edition, Techfest had conducted its competition named iNexus in Denmark, U.A.E and Sri Lanka . The finalists were flown over for the final competition to be held in IIT Bombay, Mumbai. This year Techfest is conducting iNexus in Thailand, Australia and Sri Lanka.

    * Curtin University of Technology, Australia, 5th December, 2009
    * University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, 12th December, 2009
    * Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, 13th December, 2009

The winners of each of these zones will be flown over to Mumbai to participate in the finals of our World Challenge which will take place from the 22nd - 24th of January, 2010.

 

The competition will be based on the upcoming field of Swarm Robotics which is gaining popularity all around the world.

and its in australia! do you know if they allow spectators from the general public?

Interesting, I might actually be in the area around that time.

I've visited the AIT robotics labs earlier this year, I unfortunately wasn't impressed. But it'll make a good day-trip :)

btw 52000 baht is $1500

sorry to reply late guys but you should try to take part in the competition in AIT this is going to be awesome......
