hbridge IC that can be run by 3V logic
« on: February 03, 2008, 10:10:40 PM »
Hi is there a hbridge  IC (like L293D) that can be run using a 3V logic?

And would l293D run if i were to set Vss as 5 V but send only a signal of 3V?

Most 5V logic won't have a problem being driven by 3.3V signals.  We run the Fairchild FAN8200 H-bridge with 3.3V control signals.

I'm using l293D and am unable to drive it. Is  there an IC that can convert a 3V signal to a 5V signal (I can arrange for a 5V battery)
