$50 Robot: 8MHz clock fuses
« on: December 01, 2010, 09:58:49 PM »
Reviving this topic as it seems relevant to my problem. I need to set the fuse bits on my $50 Atmega8 to bump the clock speed up to 8MHz as in the UART upgrade tutorial.

Does anyone know how to do this outside of PonyProg? Either using avrdude or maybe in the Photovore code?

You will need a hardware ISP programmer to change the fuses. It's fairly straight-forward after that.

Also, I split this from the not-relevant previous topic :P
