Title: Beginning with NXT or raspberry pi?
Post by: jollyzt on October 23, 2013, 04:48:59 PM
I've worked with vex at school and have become very interested in getting my own robot. I feel vex is too limiting and too expensive. So after a lot of research I've come up with these options:

-NXT kit with robotC
-NXT with python (I think it exists for NXT)
-or the raspberry pi with the brick pi by dexter industries and using NXT motors and servos

My goals are to get a system I can grow with and doesn't cost too much. I've looked at the $50 robot but I'm not sure it's what I'm going for. So any tips or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

It seems like NXT kit with robotC will be the least pain among those options.
You can always add the Raspberry Pi later if you want to.
