Bluesmirf Gold Makes Two COM ports
« on: August 21, 2008, 07:58:36 PM »
So I got my BlueSMIRF gold from Sparkfun and when I want to connect to it through my Macbook's internal bluetooth (though it runs windows on boot camp) it creates two COM ports - one for transmitting and one for receiving.

How can I make one COM port that combines the two COM ports of the BlueSMIRF?

Thanks

odd . . . but do they need to be combined?

I mean, if that happened on windows, I'd just use two hyperterminal windows, one on each port.

this is normal.

you have rx/tx on both inbound and outbound ports.

They are used depending on what is initiating the connection..(ex: PC or BlueSMiRF)
