axon/blackfin uart

UART Axon->Blackfin (TX):

I assume the Axon UART TX function is to invoke CV library routines on the Blackfin where images are processed on the Blackfin.

UART Axon->Blacfkin (RX):

What does the Axon receive from Blackfin?

Since the Blackfin has it's own processor and CV library then the UART from Axon to Blackfin main purpose is to send commands to the Blackfin to invoke the CV library routines to process images on the Blackfin AVR processors. Am I missing anything else?

That's correct - the Axon is generating SRV_protocol commands - http://www.surveyor.com/SRV_protocol.html - and parsing the results.
