I am working on a robot that will be similar to the size of average combat robots. I am wanting this robot to have the capability of driving outside. I decided to start with the choosing the motors. The motors I chose are 24 Volt 280 W scooter motors. Here are the motors I am using : [url]http://goo.gl/yoF76]http://goo.gl/yoF76] [url]http://goo.gl/yoF76 (http://[url=http://goo.gl/yoF76)[/url]. I plan on using two of these motors to drive the robot.
My biggest problem with this project is mechanical experience. I need a lot more experience with building chassis for robots. Normally I concentrate on the electronics and programming.
So I just want some general advice and pointers on how I should approach this. Feel free to point me to relevant articles or even just give me your two cents.
