pony prog seial prog circuit
« on: January 31, 2008, 09:41:33 AM »
hey guys, i just made the circuit found on the pony prog website for serially downloading the hex files into AVRs..
in the atmega adapter circuit i found out that there are pins called Vcc and others GND
well, are those the same power from the out of the lm293 regulator? or thats a seperate voltage source?

datasheets define the pins ;D

but yes, you can connect both Vcc's if you want, and GND should ALWAYS be connected!

i think the LM293 regulator is put to power the avr using the computer serial port voltage,, neat,ha?
so i dont think you need any battery to program your avr

mm i think its a dc motor driver

iwas writing LM2936z-5 as LM293 cuz i suggested its obvious i wont use a dc motor driver in an avr programmer ;)
