Microcontroller AVR ATmega8

Hi, does anyone use the Microcontroller AVR ATmega8??

i have seen it advertised on ebay for £33, but can you users please tell me what you think, is it easy to use as i have never programmed before???

You mean programmer based on at mega 8, because at mega 8 costs something like 4€ (~3 pounds i guess).
I used it to make avr usb programmer.

How would you find some microcontroller hard to program?

This is pretty much the same, but doesn't have a lcd screen. I don't know if you need it

no it doesnt have to have an lcd, i havnt got any certain spec criteria i jus heard alot of people use this microcontroller, i just want it for robots campable of obsticle oviodence etc... nothing to high tech,

do you know if this one is any good??
