Good afternoon!
I am looking for help or any ideas on a way to start building a robotic or mechanical arm..
I am VERY inexperianced and have NO clue where to start.
This arm (if possible) does not have to be "big". What I am trying to do is make an arm that could shoot a basketball....I will make a smaller version hoop and ball....
Any on PLEASE HELP!!

I'm no robot genius either, but if you have no experience you're biting of way more than you can chew. Robotic arms are some of the hardest things to make, and that's just for picking things up and stuff like that. To actually accurately throw something would take a whole bunch of math, and all sorts of programming. If you're really a beginner, go do the $50 robot tutorial, and then change your idea for the science fair. Good luck!
