Title: Best way to begin?

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and new to robotics and interested in dabbling in the art of robotics.

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the best place to start in regards to getting into robotics. I don't expect to build a cyborg or anything, although the idea of an arm or something moveable like that is thrilling.

Would it be best to start with one of those robot kits and go from there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're interested in building an arm, Lynxmotion has some nice arm kits.
