Newbie Camera question
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:52:41 AM »
My idea is to build a robot with a camera. I am building a robot with the microcontroller of the 50$ one. I am a complete newbie to this, so my question is how does one actually draw an image on the computer screen of the input from the camera?
If I said anything stupid, note that I am a complete newbie!

So, you want the robot to act on what it sees, or just send it to a pc screen?
Two very different things...
If the first option, take a look at http://www.societyofrobots.com/robot_ERP.shtml
Its earlier stages used the $50 board with a camera.
If you just want it displayed on a screen then just get a wireless camera.
Howdy

Consider yourself lucky that this was just released for the Blackfin:

CMUcam also does output straight to your PC.
