Title: Need bend sensor assitance. 24"long to measure pulling weight.
Post by: Robotneed on February 13, 2009, 07:15:36 PM
Hello my name is Gary in Ft Myers, Florida and I need help.  I'm trying to build a bend sensor 24" long to measure pulling weight with a small display.  I have never built anything with robotics and need some assitance or direction any help would be great.

I know with all the knowledge that I have read on this forum someone out there can direct me in the right direction.

thanks, Gary

You forgot to mention how much weight, what display output you want, what accuracy you want, and why the bend/force sensors you can buy aren't effective for what you need :P

Also, why not just an old-fashioned spring loaded weight sensor? They cost like ~$15:

Does it need to output digital signals?
