Using an electric ducted fan (EDF) for RC aircraft would be a lot easier.

The first 10 results of google were ALL using vacuum cleaners to make hovering (hovercraft) vehicles. Before you get fierce, maybe you should either post some specifics about what you want to do, or expect answers like mine.Size of the bot? What components do you have? Where is your experience? Do you want the vacuum to keep it hovering? Do you want it to push it from side to side? Will you carry a load?
