Title: for sale: iRobot Create 4400
Post by: Admin on May 23, 2011, 01:51:04 PM
Instructables just shipped me this:
http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2586252#specifications (http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2586252#specifications)

I have no use for it . . .

unopened box, exactly as described by the website (includes battery), original value is $129.99+shipping

I'm selling it for $100+shipping (probably ~$18 by FedEx)

I kinda want a Create for ROS... how much would it be for Create+battery+charger, shipped to 95129?

Purchase is pretty dependent on price - I don't really need it, and probably should be saving my money... but the federal tax return should come in the mail soon... decisions.

I don't have a battery for sale, as I used it to replace the dead battery in my Roomba vacuum.

I do however have this stuff:

One other guy is interested, so whoever pays first (or more) gets it :P

Eh... you should probably let the other guy have it, chances are he's got a bigger budget than I do.

Yeah, I was interested, then saw a Roomba for sale on kijiji from a local guy and bought it for $80. Then got 2 more virtual walls (I got 4 now) a scheduler remote and a docking station for $40. And now I also have 2 fast chargers. Got a new 3500Ah battery from the States for $26 plus shipping. Now I just have to make my Chumby One control Roomba and transform it into a vacuuming butler robot, hehe. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of Forward(distance, speed) and Spin(direction, angle) commands. Have to poll the encoders all the time... Time to try out Admin's wavefront code!

There is the Wait Distance and Wait angle commands, so you can do what you want, just not with a single command.

IE,

Drive
Wait Distance
Stop

would let the Create worry about how far it's gone.
