So I was getting board today and had a little motor lying around, so I dismantled(say: destroyed) it and wrote a short tutorial of what to do...
TOOLs:
small 1mm screwdriver
motor
time
needle nose pliers(optional, but recommended)
METHOD:
1.Find your victim(motor), mine was a cheap one from a $20 RC car
The victim:
2.Open the motor by bending the two metal tabs(located around the edge of the metal cylinder)away from the plastic "cap" thing with pins sticking out, I used a 1mm flat-head screwdriver.
3.Lever the plastic cap off.
4.Inside there should be a little shaft with electro-magnets(mine had 3).
Step 4 picture:
5.Pull this out with your fingers or the needle nose pliers.
Step 5 picture:
6.The only remaining part should be the permanent magnets these are glued in
7.You have successfully dismantled a DC motor.
You may wish to savage the coil wire, magnets ,etc.
