Eagle Layout Editor Help
« on: March 17, 2010, 04:28:26 PM »
I need help in creating a Schematic printout to create my own circuit board. But I need help in this two areas:

I'm in the process of making a schematic;however, the program I am using Eagle layout editor does not have 74AC14 inverter in its component list. As a result, I am stuck. My question is how can i add this component to the list or any component to the list of Eagle layout editor, for that matter. I. tried to find the spice model for this part but I could not find it. If someone could help me I would appreciate it very much.

Finally, after i create the schematic and transfer it over to board, what are the final steps I need to take to print it out and make my own circuit board. It is the print out that will enable me to etch it on to a circuit board that I am interest in. you know the print out that you place over the copper board and iron it over the board. That is what I want to know how to do. I already know how to build a schematic.

Please help.

Cant you just use the 7414 from the TTL package? I think both are the same dimensions.

Edit: or in the 74ac-logic.lbr library is it the 74AC11004?

As for 'final steps' then it will depend on how you are making the board. I just print the board file onto my paper for toner transfer.

Library: "74xx-eu"
Part: "74*14"
Sub part: "74AC14x" where x is D (SO14), FK (LCC20) or N (DIL14).

(74AC11004 won't work, different pinout and no Schmitt triggers).

Finally, after i create the schematic and transfer it over to board, what are the final steps I need to take to print it out and make my own circuit board. It is the print out that will enable me to etch it on to a circuit board that I am interest in. you know the print out that you place over the copper board and iron it over the board. Google broke?  ;)
Plenty of links to PCB making on this site alone, so I'll keep it to this... You need Inkjet photo paper (for best result) and a LASER printer.
Epson makes the best paper, but the product code escapes me right now.
