Are triaxial force sensors available for robots? I haven't been able to find them anywhere online.
-
what kind of sensors?
do you mean like 3 axis?
-
the only thing i know of that is tri-axial is an accelerometer, but, that doesn't appear to be what you're looking for

SmAsH, triaxial force sensors are by definition based upon a 3-axis concept. I got the idea from the following site

This robot has triaxial force sensors in each leg. My hypothesis that maybe these triaxial force sensors are actually pressure sensors inserted in different parts of the foot of the robot. However, I'm not completely certain of it. I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge of such sensors. Not three axis based accelerometers.

You can get up to a 6-axis . . . but it'll cost you.
I found tons with google.
