I'm trying to build my first robot, and since my servos haven't arrived yet, I'm having a problem aligning everything. I can't find any datasheets on this servo; with the values in the title I can do little but i simple paralelipipedic body.
If anyone made a CAD file of this servo (or a close, similar), I'd appreciate if he/she can share it. I'm using SolidEdge 20, but any interchange format will do.
I don't know if this is already done, but maybe there should be a subforum/thread to pre-designed pieces/motors/ICs/parts. Might be really useful.

would sketchup work?

airman00 has a great data base for google sketchup robot parts
but here is the link to all the parts people have made, do a search for airman or HS-422 servo

Look for the servo on the Hitec website for dimensional data. Its all there.

I'm not exactly a fan of sketchup. Sure, it's nice and comfy, but it's a pain to convert it to any format that will later be machined. Or any format, for that matter.
Or maybe i'm just beeing silly and I haven't found how to work in sketchup with a crossformat.
There aren't really any sizes in the specsheet except the parallelepiped thing. which i already made, and i was hoping for a more detailed model. It's pretty hard, you know, to make the model only with pictures and no sizes except the overall LxWxH :D
