Title: Second personal project(Perpetualmotion - the bike)
Post by: Tommy on September 30, 2011, 04:40:42 AM
With my last project complete and winter around the corner, thoughts turn to my next project.

But here's the rub, it's a bike.

Just because I'm using leftover parts from a robot project doesn't make it on-topic on a robot forum
, does it?

You won't hear me complaining about ingenious work being put into a non-robot and then being shared...  Pretty much no one posts their projects of any kind here, it seems.  Heck, I posted a robot project of mine here and got zero replies (ya.. go, go Trossen Forums)

Onwards!

Gertlex, guess if nobody looks.

Task:
Make a recumbent tadpole configured bike that plugs into the grid(battery charging) , travels 20miles
on a charge, all seasons, be classed as a bike(street legal) ,fun to ride and build it in one year.

Goal of the task:
Using software(PC based), hardware(leftover phidgits senors, motors, est..)  push the laws of thermal dynamics(not brake)
while getting me to my locale hardware store and back any time of the year.

Budget:
$300.00 per month.
