Events on the East Coast to Demonstrate My Butler Robot
« on: June 25, 2008, 10:32:52 AM »
Anyone know of any events where I could demonstrate my butler robot ?

I want to do that so that I can get my name out and also because after seeing that robot people approach me and pay me to do robotics projects for them ( this has happened twice so far)

Thanks,
Eric

EDIT: I am referring to events on the East Coast of the United States

There aren't many robot events that I know about.
One idea is that you find a news station to do a little segment on you.
The news really likes things that look like they are from the future a.k.a. robots, revolutionary machines.
Also try to bring a few other robots so they also know that you can design different types of robots.

I found this. These guys make more replica robots then actual robots but they said all robots are welcome/ Dragon Con is in Atlanta on labor day

Once again we will be having a fan table at Dragon Con Aug 29-Sept 1.  We have set up a group for discussion about the con.  Please feel free to come join and hang out with us and our robots.

The Robot Builders Table is a great place to park your droid ect while you attend an event or just need a break.  It has become a focal point for photo oppertunities and we usually procure power so its also a good recharging point for your droid.

All robots are invitedwiththe understanding of no Destroying humans or other robots!

Andy

of course the college where I work starts that weekend so no chance of me getting to go :( but might be a nice place to show off Chives and meet some cool people who automate their R2-D2s

hehe slap an SOR sticker on the back of chives and convince Admin to pay for transportation costs as advertising :)
