Title: need to know a few links to some things

voice reciniotion software
something that will allow my robot to have a voice and non of that retarded Microsoft SAM stuff
motion detection
something that can notify the robot if someone enters the house and in turn notify me
o and it would be freaking awesome if i could make like a digital face sorta like the face of Viki in iRobot (best movie ever)
and something so it can answer the phone have a greeting and ask for a call back number and name
o and some programs where i can make a 3d image of what i plan for it to look like and such

yes yes i know this will be freaking awesome

P.S. im a newb and im getting help from my best friends dad he is into this stuff

I too would like a link to a web page that tells me the 'answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything'  ;D

but since there isn't one - I'll just have to figure it out myself.

Maybe breaking things down into smaller problem may bring more responses.

Start with the basics (http://www.societyofrobots.com/toparticles.shtml) and tackle one problem at a time.

You can always upgrade in the future.

a couple of those topics have to do with home automation. although this site is not specifically geared toward that, there may be some people that can help you along the way.

Those other ideas, i don't even know about. so good luck!
