AVR ISP programmer vs downloader

hello there, im a new member and ive startted to build the 50$ robot ( which is more like the 50£ robot) and i have all the parts needed except for the programmer ( its hard to find here in the uk)  the only one i found was 40 quid =80$, and im wondering if its possible to just use this Downloder instead of programmer?? thanks a lot for your help

I found the ISP mk II programmer on Rapid Electronics webpage. It's £26.44. Hope that helps. :)

yup thats where i got all my parts from, but guess what? its been all summer that "this  item should be in stock <1 week" :-( anynomre suggestions please? (thx anyways)
