Title: Line-avoiding robot
Post by: Radiken on May 16, 2007, 07:03:14 PM
Check out my new toy!
It was made form the mark III sumo board.
It uses 2 servos with differential drive and 3 IR detectors.

poor thing, your keeping it cramped up in a little virtual cage, give it some leg room!

edit: on a more seroius note- good job it looks great, and I like how you used 3 sensors to make the robot more effective at determining which way to go, and giving it more choices to better optimize its space. Good thinking

You should name it 'Mime (trapped in an invisible box)'

ps - for the youtube links, just put the random letters '1ymmmgDF-N0' in the brackets, it wont work if you put the entire link in it

Oh, by the way Admin, this uses the chopstick idea quoted in the $50 robot tutorial to mount the servos...

My e-mail isn't working, so I just post them here:

What I did was cut some chopsticks down to about 6 inches, and stuck them through the screw mounts on the side and taped it up. After that, there was enough room to put a piece of cardboard in between, put some Velcro on that, and put a 9 v. on it.
