Title: Bluetooth wiring question
Post by: tzankoff on August 26, 2010, 08:58:32 AM
I have what is probably a simple question that I just so happen to have not found a definitive answer to. I am wiring up a bluetooth antenna (BlueSmirf RS-SMA) to control my robot wirelessly. I know I have to wire up power (VCC), ground (GND), transmit (TX-0), and receive (RX-1). My question is do I need to wire up RTS-0 and CTS-1 in any fashion? I cannot seem to find anything to indicate yes or no.

A link to a datasheet would help.

I read somewhere that if you weren't using these 2 you're best to just short them together. So that's what I did, seems to work fine.

Cool. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Nope, just ignore RTS-0 and CTS-1. Its for handshaking, but no one uses them these days . . .

Either way, I got my Axox II over the weekend and I look forward to seeing what this thing can do.
