Title: power laces, all right! (Back to the Future shoes)
Post by: Admin on September 10, 2010, 06:03:41 PM
In 2015, we don't need to tie our shoes:

And the reality is here a bit early:

An older prototype to see how it worked:

Yeah, it's been put up on the Sparkfun blog too. Nice technology, albeit tying shoelaces yourself would prove to be much cheaper. The technology is great though and the concept is nice. A good company could handle this project very well indeed.

I think that Hot chick is the one who invented them.

You're right, and that's a funny name for a chick.

This one's an exception. I have just seen an awful lot of geeky DIY tech videos with random models in them. Recent example; I remember a bunch of RC airplane / copter videos with random hot girsl holding them.

Are you sure she is actually organic (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29720798/)?

Also, I invoke Rule 30 (http://cdn0.knowyourmeme.com/i/25080/original/there-are-no-girls-on-the-internet.jpg?1257288582).

I now know why you say that...

Now for some on topic stuff, if it was in the soles, couldn't it be broken easily?

It may be on the sides of the soles so the full force of a person doesn't hit it directly.

P.S. Those shoes are just plain badass.
