Hello and Hi,

I'm planed to do a book cart electronic similar as attached
Im using a PIC16F877A with L298 to control a 12V DC Motor.
I want to control the speed of the motor by PWM.

Can anyone advice me which motor can carry load 600lbs with 12VDC. What calculation I should aware? Lack of calculate rpm/HP. How about the mechanical part?

Thanks

How much does the cart weigh????
Have you checked out the motor calculator on the site (click "Robot Tutorials" above right.)

Also be sure that the L298 can supply the motor's Current requirements. Very likely it will not ans you'll need to pick a different motor driver chip.

You may want to investigate using a scooter motor and drive.
http://www.electricscooterparts.com/

All the building block parts are available there.

By lowering the speeds of travel from scooting to walking, torque and load carrying capacity will increase.
