Title: Slam procedure

Hello to everyone!
I am an undergraduate student and I am building my final project before my degree. I want to make accurate slam using a Hokuyo laser scanner and maybe sonar sensors. I have download slam for dummies and made a lot of research but I am a little confused now. I want to implement FastSlam2 algorithm. Please if you have anything that may be usefull, papers, good simulation software, opensource codes in C/C++, or even previous experience, contact me. As I said I have searched some things so now I need only guidance on how to start and develop my project. Thanks for your time.

Hello, how are you? i am having the same problem. i can see you posted like 4 years ago but i am in ur position now, i want to start in SLAM field but dont know exactly how to make it step by step on..
