It's going about half speed now to save the gearbox (plastic geartrain) from sudden speedchanges.

Nice work :)

Current configuration : Differential drive with a freewheel at the front.

Did u try making the front wheel as the driver?
OR at least the steering part...that would actually makes this work more challenging.

The smooth motion especially during turns makes this a great robot to show color tracking demo :)

Nice work! What kind of software did you use for the image processing? was it roborealm or something that you coded yourself? I just got my robot platform to do vision tracking using roborealm.

That looks like an netbook, good choice. ASUS?

nice. since that's the case, you could try making it voice controlled with the free e-speaking software.
