guys help please!!!OK here's my thing.I build my PC board checked everything a dozen times.Dismounted everything 3 times. Spent hours looking at the PC Board and diagram.Charged my battery(7.
.checked voltage and resistance.and when i connect it with my AVRISPmkII The light stays red and I get a message that says -Target has lost power, or ISP programmer was disconnected-.whats wrong.

i believe that means that the target has not been powered up. You say you've checked the voltage, are you sure it's getting to the ISP connector?

I checked that out and theres no power coming out from the 5V regulator,absolutely nothing so tomorrow I will go to Radioshack and buy a few and another things i need but thank you I will tell you tomorrow what happend

Is your 5 volt regulator in backwards?

Is not backwards but I decided to built a new one cause the other one was a mess and this one it looks really professional.

It worked my voltage regulator was broken,and it worked
