Title: suggestions for Admin
Post by: octagonx on September 25, 2007, 08:04:06 AM
Hi. I think you should improve the subjects are arranged.  Like under the electronics, you can add, sensors, motor control, motor etc, so its easier to post and browse topics.  ;)

Alot of topics will overlap these subforums, and that just makes it harder to post and browse instead of making it easier.
One suggestion I think should be made is that there would be a new forum (in misc) called "Show your robot".
It's pretty self explanatory  ;) , everyone can make his/her own topic about your robot. show some pics, get advice,...

yeah, like interfacing sensors to a software, where will that land? hmm... but i still think the topics were too general.  :P

Also maybe a seperate forum for the $50 robot, then it would be easier to find specific info and the same questions wouldn't get asked thousands of times!

Those can  be quite annoying sometimes yes ;)

Im getting the last parts for the 50$ robot in a few days now. (Have to send them from my old address to the new one), so watch out! ;)

I second the need for a 50$ forum though :)

A 50$ robot forum is a bit over the top i think. If everyone would just SEARCH BEFORE YOU ASK !! no such thing would be neccesairy.
At another forum where I am a member, questions don't even get answerred when members who reply search and find an answer on the forum.

It would just make it a lot easier/less daunting to find the information for total beginners, eg if you need help with microcontrollers and type that into the forums you'll get scary results for someone who is looking to know what a uC actually IS!

A faq would be usefull, but not as a sticky, it would be much more logical if it was at the end of the actual 50$ tutorial...

And a sentence " If you have any questions that haven't been answered by the FAQ, or need some help, feel free to search te forum for suitable answers."
And "searvh" is a link to the search page in the forum. :)
