Hi, I need a Swing arm attachment for a non-combat assembly line robot used in our small family business.
Power supply is 12v dc and needs a limit swing motion and will carry a load back and forth as heavy as I can have it carry 100lbs more or less I would like it to carry 200 or 300 pounds.
I need a slow gear motor that will somehow use a Scotch Yoke to move the 12 inch arm 1 or 2 inches this side of the fulcrum point. Then the other side swing arm will swing adjustable from 20 to 30 degrees. This is the side that carries the load back and forth Swing need to have speed control 1 to 60 times per minute.
Anyway I need a strong motor that has speed control and can handle the weight load.
I was looking at converting a Bosch Starter motor..?
http://homepages.which.net/~paul.hills/Motors/Starters/StartersBody.htmlThat should be strong enough. But then I would need to have away to gear down the speed rpm’s from a unknown High speed Down to 1 or 2 revolutions per second.
Remember I need High torque and real low rpm the geared way down.
Any Ideas or correction in direction will be appreciated.
Thanks Rob W.
