i,m trying to make the 50$ robot...but here in my country, its hard to find the AVR...i survey around to find any AVR or programmer but failed to find it....here, in my country,malaysia...lots of electronics project is using the Microchip PIC...the programmer can be easily found...and the PIC can be obtain as sample...
so i was wondering, can i use the PIC microchip as the brain for the 50$ robot ???...and what is the suitable PIC type i can use...i want at least 6 inputs and 4 output...for the sensor and motors.
thank you ;D

Which province you live in?
If you live in Johor, its a quick drive into Singapore. Or you can just order it online from sg instead:

Digikey ships to sg
(I never had problems crossing the border, but then again I have an american passport . . .)
This is good avr based microcontrollers that ship to malaysia:

sparkfun has the arduino with an atmega168 for $34
they're out of stock on regular atmega168

then u have to go to the shop in person and buy the stuff u need... but if by that(your parents dont suport you) that they dont even give u money for that(if u dont have any of your own) then u should go earn some :D
